About Tomoko Abe

Tomoko Abe is a Toronto based jazz vocalist, composer, and arranger who is influenced by Be-bop, ECM, and contemporary music. She is from Japan, and started her career in Tokyo, then finally released 2 albums in 2015. She is the very first Japanese student who was accepted into the Voice Program and awarded every four academic years. Now she is enthusiastic about releasing first EP with very talented young Toronto based musicians. Moreover, she is passionate to connect Toronto based musicians and Japan based musicians throughout creating music together.
